- How long does it take to get an appointment?
Usually, a day or two notice is fine.
Saturdays tend to be busy, so if that's the best day for you,
you might want to give us a bit more notice.
Around the holidays, it's best to make your appointment in
advance, so you're sure of getting the time and day most convenient for you.
-
Why do you ask for a minimum of six (6) hours to keep my dog?
We ask that amount of time from all our customers, so that
all pets can be groomed in a timely manner.
If we are able to get your dog finished earlier,
we can give you a call right away.
We are happy to keep your pet for the day,
if you have to work.
However, all pets must be picked up by 4:00 p.m., because that's
when we close for the day.
- My dog has sensitive skin. Will this be a problem for you??
No, we have lots of different shampoos. Tell us about your dog's
skin irritation, and we will try to choose what's best, or let you
choose, if that would be better for you.
We have our regular moisturizing shampoo, a few medicated ones, and
an oatmeal shampoo and conditioner.
Or we can also use a client's special shampoo from a vet,
if the dog (or cat) has a skin condition.
- Are you privately-owned, or one of those franchise businesses?
Tails a-Waggin' Pet Grooming is privately-owned by
Claudia Cesarotti.
Claudia is a life-long, Chicago-suburb resident. Claudia
grew up with a love for animals.
It was her dream to open this business,
and put this passion of hers to work. So,
after graduating from college,
Claudia made her dream a reality.
You will see, when you arrive, how friendly, and welcoming the
shop is, and how invited your dog or cat will be. Your pet will
be treated like the special dog/cat that he/she is.
- How many years have you been in business?
We have been in this business since 1991, and LOVE what we do!!
We are experienced dog and cat handlers, and pet lovers!
- Do you cut nails?
Sure! Actually, we can cut nails while-u-wait anytime that we are open!
Our hours are listed on our homepage, and are quite convenient.
-
Do you board animals?
No, sorry. We are not an overnight facility. Your dog must
be picked up the same day as you drop off.
- Do you offer gift certificates?
ABSOLUTELY! Come on in, they make great gifts for that
hard-to-buy-for-dog (or cat)!
